Tolerable Sins

How do we define the word common? Something that is typical that happens frequently in which is labelled as ordinary. Take your brand new handset for example. It is given the out-most care and treated as if it is made up of fragile glass. Fast forward a few months, could not care less type of throwing handset on bed or sofa gesture will be implemented automatically. Why? Simple, it is a customary act done where we have no guilt about because many do so.

Parents were our first hero that slowly turns to be a so called ‘burden’ upon us as they struggled to cope themselves into our modern society and way of thinking. Take a moment and revert back on the number of times that we have showed our rudeness, intolerance, impatience towards them. Being shy of them in front of our peers when all they wanted to do is be closer to us. We feel irritated to teach them how to use a handset when they have thought us the right way of life all these years. Are we capable and willing enough to take care of them when they get old like how they have given us shelter ever since we were infants?

Teenagers who find it hard to get along with parents

Avoiding certain people to escape from awkward conversations has become a norm. The manner we allow ourselves to be drone, manipulated and influenced by the social media is something for us to reassess. The wasting of food when we are fully aware of people suffering without it and the obligation of being too choosy for food.

The unthinkable amount of wasted food.

The evolution of meaningful and soulful song being less popular compared to a meaningless one due to the pornographic like videos. Awards ceremony for porn actors, films, directors and the existence of believe in nudism. These are not things that I find wrong or in any way against it but the fact that it has become so common that society tend to accept it.

Nudism where it is ought to believe in negative energy free.

A woman who chooses her path to be a prostitute for easy income to support her family is not the same as a little girl condemned to be forced into the same trail. It is a glaring contradiction. Legal prostitution has become the main source of income at certain places. Bribery on the other hand, has become the easy solution for people to get what they desire.

Human trafficking has to come to a stop!

BBC’s documentary ‘India’s Daughter’ reveals the sad truth of what innocent girls fear in the lesser parts of the world. The fact that we breathe the same air as those rapists who managed to walk away freely by people who defended them claiming that rape happens at the fault of the victim. You read that right, the fault of the victim! A man putting his desires ahead of a woman’s right and dignity is no place for any sort of acceptance. The fear that such circumstances is slowly but surely going to be a tolerable act is frightening to say the least. Humans and monsters will have no contrast in the near future albeit the present.

The bizarre statement of the rapist from the interview

The amount of blood spilled in the name of religion is beyond belief. As far as I am concerned, no teaching encourages killing and ending the soul given by the power above. The doings of certain people affects the name of the religion in a whole. Adding to that, suicidal is the initiative taken that shows the ungratefulness of having the gift of life. Millions of lives would have been, could have been saved without the existence of religion. Nations that are indirectly leading towards dictatorship empowerment when it is actually a democratic country.

Victims about to be beheaded in the name of religion.

To say that I have not engaged myself to some of these sins would mean that I am committing the biggest sin of all which is lying. Lie has reached a tolerance level so high that at times we don’t even realise that we lie. Sometimes we do it for good, most of times for bad. Who are we to judge? We do not qualify to do this. Only in a world that has become this corrupted, we could actually tolerate these sins and keep a straight face. Has the influence of evil surpassed the good? Is the world heading in the right direction? We see a deadly sin at every street, home, society but we tolerate it. We tolerate it because it is common.
